Dedicated with Love, to the Samoan Family that Manny married into. For this blend of Soap, Manny wanted to incorporate the elements of the Foods that one would usually find at a Family Toona'i (Family Gathering or Feast).
Many memories were shared with cousins like Pati and Tapaga, playing music and preparing the Umu for the freshly slaughtered pig. Each part of the animal found a use and a purpose. The Lard in the soap recipe makes for a longer-lasting soap bar, great for a relaxing shower, or a daily facial scrub.
Manny's favorite dish at the Toona'i was the Ota. Fresh Caught raw fish, with cubed fruits & vegetables, marinated in Coconut Milk. The Coconut milk in this soap blend is a special tribute to the Ota and Palu Sami that one would find at a typical Toona'i in a town like La'ie.
Finally, we incorporated Kava Root as an exfoliant. The Cultural & Historical significance of Kava goes back Centuries. Manny strongly believes that Kava is such a sacred plant that it should never be discarded, and repurposes spent kava root powder thats donated from Vendors & Kava Clubs around the globe.
